Revamp of Zollstock-Arkaden shopping centre to be completed in early December

The Zollstock-Arkaden shopping centre in south Cologne isn't just being given a makeover inside and out – for its website www.zollstock-arkaden.de is now being overhauled and will go live this week. "We intend to use the web to increasingly attract young families and students in the direct vicinity of the mall," explained Allianz real estate project manager Martin Schwaiger. The website showcases the many shops, doctors' surgeries and law firms based at the shopping centre on Vorgebirgsstrasse along with their goods and services. Moreover, online visitors can also check the current opening times, find out about the generous parking available and above all obtain travel directions. What's more, the website contains useful information for prospective tenants.
The programme of refurbishment at Zollstock-Arkaden is now nearly complete. Owner and developer Allianz will be celebrating the end of the revamp with the shops there in the week of 5–10 December 2011 with plenty of special campaigns for customers. For example, it will be giving away shopping trolley tokens and bags to customers in order to make shopping easier. It will also be highlighting the excellent parking beneath the mall by handing out biscuits both on the main roads near Zollstock-Arkaden and inside the centre itself. In addition, Allianz will be giving out bicycle seat rain covers, emphasizing that cyclists are equally welcome whatever the weather!
Discount supermarket chain Aldi Süd has a store at Zollstock-Arkaden as do chemist's Valeska Pritz-Gottschall, Kaiser's supermarket, discount clothes retailer kik, hairdresser Frisör Klier, baker's Schmitz & Nittenwilm, and a drugstore. Other businesses include a hearing aid supplier, a travel agent's, a lottery agent, law firms, and various doctors' surgeries. The Zollstock-Arkaden housing development and shopping centre is owned by insurance company Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG.
